Join UA Camp Series at Amistad High School in New Haven, CT. Camp Director and Lead Instructor, Bryan Blackstone, invites young athletes of all levels to join the fun this summer and take their game to the next level.

Our experienced staff members will help each camper learn the fundamentals while assisting them in developing their skills using proper techniques. Offensive and defensive position drills follow proper stretching and warm-ups each day, along with fun flag football competitions. Campers will then apply what they’ve learned earlier in the day and bring it to the field for exciting flag football games. A great opportunity for any young athlete looking to improve their game, have fun, make new friends, and raise their confidence.

Attends, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
Advises students on NCAA requirements for scholarships and recruiting practices.
Oversee the process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all athletic equipment.
Encourages sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation.
Assess players’ skills and assign team positions.
Enforces discipline during games, practice sessions, and on trips off school property.
Determine game strategy based on the team’s capabilities.
Started Varsity Football in 2014

Amistad High School is located at 580 Dixwell Avenue in New Haven, Ct, 06511. Our Football is made from field turf and can seat approximately 1500 people. The field is located in the back of our school, on Sherman Avenue in the Beaver Hills section of New Haven.

Required Equipment

Players should supply: Cleats (NO metal-tip cleats), tennis shoes, athletic shorts (preferably with no pockets), and t-shirt. This camp is NON-CONTACT

What type of instruction can be expected?
  • Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
  • Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork
  • Teamwork, Concussion Safety, Nutrition
Medical Protocol

Most camps will not have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Travel

UA Camp Series does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

Team/League Discount

If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the UA Camp Series office at [email protected] with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during check out. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.

Information Packet

A detailed camper information packet containing check in location, links to health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of items to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to the camp start date. Our health and release forms may require a doctor's signature (please reference your camp packet). Additional forms may be required and will be collected on the first day of camp.
